šŸ‘‹ Hey guys - Noah here,

šŸ’° The 3 best side hustles for college students

🚩 My Money Red Flags

I recently rebooted my series ā€˜Red Flag Green Flag’ on TikTok. It’s had millions of views and loads of you have been commenting on your red + green flags when it comes to money.

So I thought today, I would share my money red flags… let me know if you agree! 🚩🚩

🚩 Not Keeping Track Of Your Subscriptions

  • Lots of people end up signing up for free trials to things online, say they’ll remember to cancel: but don’t

  • According to a report by Citizens Advice, people in the UK spend over Ā£300 million a year on unused subscriptions

  • My free budget calculator and a money management app like Snoop can quickly identify and cancel unused subscriptions.

🚩 Investing Before You Are Ready

  • Many people ask me what stocks or crypto they invest into with $100 to start making money

  • But when you are starting with investing, and have little money, you need to focus on the fundamentals before investing.

  • Paying off any money you owe (apart from student debt in the UK) + creating an emergency fund of 3-6 months’ worth of living expenses need to come first.

🚩 Focusing Just on Saving

  • Saving money is good, but you know what’s better…? Making money!

  • People often get caught up, spending hours to find ways to save a couple extra pounds here and there

  • Instead… focus those hours on increasing your income. Try starting a side hustle, it can be way more effective

šŸ—Æ Ask Noah: ā€œWhat are some good side hustles for someone still in College?ā€

Back when I was in School, my parents never gave me money. This was good. It meant I had to get creative to make extra cash!

Here are some ideas inspired by both what I did, and what I have seen many people close to me do to make some easy extra cash in College.

  1. Dog Sitting - advertise your services on apps like Rover + Nextdoor. You can get paid passive income to stay in people’s homes, looking after their dogs. Or people will bring their dogs to your home! Plus, you can still do work whilst making that money ;)

  2. Reselling Furniture - this is one of the most profitable areas you can resell in. If you have a big car, buying, restoring + reselling furniture is a fast money maker. Check out this TikToker for more.

  3. Pressure washing - I recently landed myself a pressure washing job. I paid my mate to do the work and landed a smooth Ā£100 in a few hours. It’s a fun + satisfying side hustle. Just advertise your services on local Facebook pages.

šŸ‘€ Things I’m Liking Right Now:

PDF Drive - A Great Way To Access Free PDFs of any book šŸ¤‘

  • I wish I knew about this site before I finished College šŸ˜…

  • They quite literally have most books on there in PDF form.

  • Just be sure to use an ad blocker when using it, it has some spam ads

  1. If you haven’t yet, join the ā€œTeaching What School Doesn’tā€ Skool community. It’s free and has tons of extra value on managing, investing and making money. šŸ’ø

  2. LOADS of you have been using my free Budget Calculator.

  3. I reply to every email, so send any questions through! I’d love to help you.

See you next time!
